So my whole state has been slammed by this snowstorm that has blanketed the entire country.

Usually when snow is present, the idiotic owners and management of the stores decide to remain open, even though very few customers are out and about and the employees risk their lives to get to work in the first place.

This time they haven't scraped the roads whatsoever because the snow is still pouring down so any efforts to clear the roads would be futile.

This has basically forced said owners and managers to close their stores down.

The manager of the place I work at called this morning to inform me we were closed and then told me he had gotten stuck out behind our work building.

I'd go out and help him but I cannot get my car out, or even get all the snow off of my car to see where I'm going.

So I sit at home, getting ready to study for my classes

and watching the snow keep coming down.

I wish they wouldn't clear the roads.

My mother grew up in a time when they just left the roads covered and let the kids enjoy the snow and sled.

Now we live in a world where business clouds our minds

and the roads must be cleared because instead of sitting around the house or playing in the snow

, we see the snow as a problem that does nothing but hassle us.

We don't stop to see the beauty that snow brings with it.

It's like everything becomes magical when covered with snow.

But instead they worry about how to get their driveway scraped

, how they're going to get to work

, and people yell at departments of transportation because they haven't scraped their roads yet

. People need to just shut up and go outside and ENJOY THE SNOW.

Just don't go licking any poles,

don't eat the yellow snow,

and please, dress warmly.
