I will be sitting in classes beginning Monday. I'm so excited to be going back to class and I feel like such a nerd...even though I know after about...oh...2 weeks I'll be totally sick of it and begging for winter break. Haha. Maybe not. Radford University is going to be a totally new beginning for me so maybe I'll really be looking forward to classes a month from now...time will tell.
In the mean time, let's take a moment to stop and enjoy the last weeks/days/hours/minutes of summer. It's that time of year where you look back to late May and wonder where the summer really went. Yet, at the same time, that distinct fall air is slowly creeping into the wind. A few trees in town have already started changing their leaves...kind of crazy if you ask me.
On a totally unrelated (kind of) note, Nate found a kitten in the parking lot of Chick-Fil-A 2 days ago. His parents won't let him keep it. I can't either because my parentals don't want a cat either. I'm pretty much in love with her and wish like crazy I had my own place so I could just adopt her. Her name, for now anyway, is Sassaphrass...Nate came up with it...I don't know. She's been determined by a vet to be about 14 weeks old and in great shape. She was apparently hand-fed (her owners fed her a bottle) so she's a very people-y person. If you put her down she'll meow and cry until you love on her some more. She's staying with my friends right now and I'm doing everything I can to get her a great home with lots of love. I wish more than anything I could take her in, however. Every time I'm around her, even when she's climbing on my shoulders and headrest as I drive, I feel this pull, like I'm supposed to have her in my life...somehow...I'll keep updates as they are warranted....
For now, Peace Love and Blessings

Another Year Has Come to Pass....
So summer has continued to go by. Montreat was a blast but flew by just like the rest of July and here I sit about an hour from turning the "big" 2-0. haha. I'm ready to be done with my teenage years and really grow into my own as a real adult. Maybe. About 3 weeks from Monday I will begin classes at Radford University. Only 3 years to go until no more school and my teaching career begins. It is absolutely crazy how fast everything seems to be going. I have barely had time to get used to 19 and here I am at 20. Sheash.
My mom's birthday present to me, other than my flippin AWESOME b-day cake [pics to be put in another post later on....] and the flowers for the sanctuary at church, was to pay for me to get 2nd holes put in my ears. Now the piercing itself wasn't that bad but for some horrible reason, my body decided to make me FAINT. Yeah, my mom got a big kick out of it. I did not. First time in my 20 years that I've ever actually fainted. Go figure.
As for tomorrow's festivities, I'll be attending church [because without God (and my momma) I wouldn't be here] and then off to do something until 2pm when my scumptious cake will be ready for pickup. Whoo hoo!! Then I'm having a few friends over for burgers and hotdogs around 4pm. I'll most likely spend my free time between 10am and 2 pm with the ever amazing Mr. Nate. I <3 him so and there's no one else I'd rather be with on my special day.
So here's to 1/2 way to 40, and 1/5 of the way to the HUGE 1-0-0. hehe....
Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday. It's mah' birthday and I want everyone to be as happy as I plan to be. Of course "it's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to, cry if i want to, cry if i want to...."
Peace, Love, and Blessings
